Credit Management – Nashville, TN

John Wiora
Region Credit Manager

I started my career with CED in the summer of 2008, as a part of the Credit Management Training Program. Being a part of the training program with CED allowed me to learn about the business and gave me a platform to grow as an employee. The multi-year process was a great way to learn what is needed to be a successful Division Credit Manager with CED. I was trained one on one by a CED veteran credit manager who helped me develop the skills needed to transition to my current role as Division Credit Manager.

Giving me the opportunity to run a Division Credit Office by the time I was twenty four is something I am very grateful for

Giving me the opportunity to run a Division Credit Office by the time I was twenty four is something I am very grateful for. CED develops its’ Credit Manager Trainees so that they are prepared for strong communication and strategic planning with CED’s Profit Center Managers (PCMs), and customers. The interaction with the PCMs and customers puts the Division Credit Manager in a position to help create an environment that grants all parties involved the opportunity to simultaneously prosper. Managing risk, resolving credit issues and interacting with customers are all areas where I have personally improved thanks to CED’s help and guidance.

Overseeing credit for Tennessee, Arkansas, Northern Mississippi and Northern Alabama allows me to spend time outside of the traditional office setting, while interacting with all different types of customers. Because of this freedom, there are many long lasting relationships that I have developed all over the country with both my fellow employees and our customers.

Along with strong management support and interaction with my peers, there is no doubt that the success I’ve had as a Credit Manager can be traced back to what I learned while in the Credit Management Training Program. I look forward to a future where I know my relationships and skills will continue to grow and put me in the best position to succeed as a Division Credit Manager at CED.
